Shahrzad is a Registered Psychotherapist (Q) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. She holds a Master's of Psychology. She has received certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), and has training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).
Shahrzad has an integrative approach in therapy and utilizes techniques from different psychological approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and emotionally focused therapy.
In therapy sessions, she promotes a safe and accepting environment for clients to express themselves freely. She listens carefully to identify the clients' needs and creates a personalized treatment plan for them. This allows individuals to gain new insights and move toward the desired direction.
Shahrzad works with individuals and couples who are experiencing anxiety, relationship issues, confusion, and depression. She welcomes people from diverse cultural backgrounds and LGBTQ+ individuals. She offers therapy in both English and Farsi for ages 18+.
